Sutra 4.22
चितेरप्रतिसंक्रमायास्तदाकारापत्तौ स्वबुद्धिसंवेदनं ।। ४.२२ ।।

अन्वय
अप्रतिसङ्क्रमायाः चितेः तदाकारापत्तौ [बुद्धेः] स्वबुद्धिसंवेदनम् [भवति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
स्वयं स्थानांतरित न होने वाली चिति का आकार चित्त में आने पर अपनी बुद्धि का बोध होता है।
English meaning
When the mind takes the form of awareness that does not itself transfer, one's own cognition becomes known.
प्रसंग
दूसरे चित्त को ज्ञाता मानने की कठिनाई के बाद चिति और बुद्धि का संबंध बताया है। चिति को स्वयं एक बदलता हुआ चित्त नहीं बनाया गया है।
सरल व्याख्या
चित्त में चेतना का रूप आने की बात चिति के वास्तविक स्थानांतरण का अर्थ नहीं रखती। सूत्र चित्त के परिवर्तन और चिति के अपरिवर्तन को अलग रखते हुए बोध समझाता है।
Context
After the difficulty of assigning knowledge to another mind, the relation of awareness and cognition is described. Awareness is not made into another changing mind.
Simple explanation
The mind's taking awareness's form does not mean that awareness literally moves into it. Knowing is explained while the mind's change and awareness's non-transference remain distinct.
