त्रिविधं नरकस्येदं द्वारं नाशनमात्मनः । कामः क्रोधस्तथा लोभस्तस्मादेतत्त्रयं त्यजेत् ॥१६-२१॥

अन्वय
कामः क्रोधः तथा लोभः [इति] इदम् आत्मनः नाशनम् नरकस्य त्रिविधम् द्वारम् [अस्ति] । तस्मात् एतत् त्रयम् त्यजेत् ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
काम, क्रोध और लोभ—ये तीन आत्मकल्याण का नाश करने वाले नरक के द्वार हैं। इसलिए इन तीनों को छोड़ देना चाहिए।
English meaning
Desire, anger and greed are the three gates to hell that destroy one's own good. Therefore these three should be relinquished.
