स त्वमग्निँ स्वर्ग्यमध्येषि मृत्यो प्रब्रूहि त्वँ श्रद्दधानाय मह्यम् । स्वर्गलोका अमृतत्वं भजन्त एतद् द्वितीयेन वृणे वरेण ॥ १३ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
हे मृत्यु, आप स्वर्ग की ओर ले जाने वाली अग्नि को जानते हैं। श्रद्धावान मुझे उसका उपदेश दीजिए। स्वर्गलोक के लोग अमृतत्व प्राप्त करते हैं; दूसरे वर के रूप में मैं यही चुनता हूँ।
English meaning
“Death, you know the fire that leads to heaven. Teach it to me, who approaches with faith. Those in the heavenly world partake of deathlessness; this I choose as my second boon.”
