English meaning
Two kinds of purusha are spoken of in the world: the perishable and the imperishable. All beings are perishable; the unchanging, steadfast principle is called imperishable.
Context
After describing presence in many functions, Krishna introduces the philosophical distinction between perishable and imperishable.
Simple explanation
The perishable refers to changing, passing existence, while kutastha suggests steadiness. The next verse separately introduces the highest Purusha.
