आरभ्य कर्माणि गुणान्वितानि भावांश्च सर्वान् विनियोजयेद्यः । तेषामभावे कृतकर्मनाशः कर्मक्षये याति स तत्त्वतोऽन्यः ॥ ४ ॥

English meaning
The one who initiates activities shaped by the qualities also orders the various states of being. When those states are absent, the produced work comes to an end; when activity is exhausted, that one passes beyond, being in reality other than it.

यह कठिन वाक्य सृष्टि-कार्य के लय अथवा साधक के कर्मबन्धन से मुक्त होने की दिशा में पढ़ा जाता है। अनुवाद कार्य और उससे तत्त्वतः भिन्न सत्ता का भेद सामने रखता है, बिना किसी एक भाष्य का पूरा ढाँचा जोड़ने के। याति का गन्तव्य यहाँ स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं कहा गया है।
