उद्गीतमेतत्परमं तु ब्रह्म तस्मिंस्त्रयं सुप्रतिष्ठाऽक्षरं च । अत्रान्तरं ब्रह्मविदो विदित्वा लीना ब्रह्मणि तत्परा योनिमुक्ताः ॥ ७ ॥

यह परम ब्रह्म गाया गया है; उसमें त्रय स्थित है। वह सुदृढ़ आधार और अक्षर है। यहाँ का आन्तरिक रहस्य जानकर ब्रह्मज्ञानी उसी में लीन, उसी में तत्पर और जन्म के स्रोत से मुक्त होते हैं।
English meaning
This has been proclaimed as the supreme Brahman; in it the triad rests. It is a firm support and is imperishable. Knowing the inner distinction or truth here, knowers of Brahman are absorbed in Brahman, intent on it and freed from the source of birth.
व्याख्या
त्रय की अलग व्याख्याएँ मिलती हैं, जिनमें भोक्ता-भोग्य-प्रेरक और प्रकृति-पुरुष-काल शामिल हैं। यहाँ सुप्रतिष्ठा को सुदृढ़ आधार और अक्षरम् को उसी ब्रह्म का विशेषण पढ़ा गया है; दूसरे पाठों की भिन्न संधि को अलग दर्ज किया गया है।
Explanation
The triad receives differing interpretations, including experiencer, experienced and impeller, or nature, person and time. Here supratiṣṭhā means firm support, and imperishability qualifies Brahman; differing sandhi in other witnesses is documented separately.
