विज्ञानसारथिर्यस्तु मनः प्रग्रहवान्नरः । सोऽध्वनः पारमाप्नोति तद्विष्णोः परमं पदम् ॥ ९ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
जिस मनुष्य का सारथि विवेक है और जिसके पास मन की लगाम है, वह यात्रा के पार पहुँचता है; वही विष्णु का परम पद है।
English meaning
The person whose charioteer is discerning understanding and whose reins are the mind reaches the farther end of the journey: that is Vishnu’s highest station.
व्याख्या
विष्णु का नाम मूल में है, इसलिए उसे हटाकर केवल एक सामान्य लक्ष्य नहीं लिखा गया। भाष्य इसे सर्वव्यापक परम तत्त्व से जोड़ते हैं, जबकि भक्तिपरक पाठ में विष्णु की विशिष्ट पहचान महत्त्व रख सकती है। अनुवाद नाम बनाए रखता है और दोनों को चुपचाप एक निष्कर्ष में नहीं मिलाता।
Explanation
Vishnu is named in the verse and has not been erased into an unspecified goal. Commentarial readings connect the name with the all-pervading supreme reality, while devotional readings may emphasize Vishnu’s particular identity. The translation retains the name without silently deciding between those emphases.
