एकैकं जालं बहुधा विकुर्वन्नस्मिन्क्षेत्रे संहरत्येष देवः । भूयः सृष्ट्वा पतयस्तथेशः सर्वाधिपत्यं कुरुते महात्मा ॥ ३ ॥

यह देव एक-एक जाल को अनेक रूपों में बदलता हुआ इसी क्षेत्र में समेट लेता है। फिर सृष्टि करके वह ईश्वर, वह महात्मा, अधिपतियों सहित सब पर अपना आधिपत्य स्थापित करता है।
English meaning
This divine one transforms each web into many forms and gathers it back into this field. Bringing forth creation again, the great Lord exercises sovereignty over all, including its subordinate rulers.
व्याख्या
जाल परस्पर जुड़ी हुई सृष्टि अथवा जीव के बन्धनकारी विन्यास का संकेत दे सकता है। पतयः का वाक्य में सम्बन्ध कठिन है; अनुवाद इसका आशय अधीन अधिपतियों तक पहुँचने वाली सार्वभौम सत्ता के रूप में लेता है। इसे निश्चित व्याकरणिक समाधान नहीं मानना चाहिए।
Explanation
The web can suggest the interconnected creation or a configuration that binds embodied beings. The syntax of patayaḥ is difficult. The translation takes it as a reference to subordinate rulers within universal sovereignty, without claiming that this settles the grammatical problem.
