तस्मै स होवाचातिप्रश्नान् पृच्छसि ब्रह्मिष्ठोऽसीति तस्मात्तेऽहं ब्रवीमि ॥२ ॥

सः तस्मै ह उवाच-अतिप्रश्नान् पृच्छसि; ब्रह्मिष्ठः असि इति तस्मात् अहम् ते ब्रवीमि ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
उन्होंने उससे कहा: तुम बहुत गहरे प्रश्न पूछते हो। तुम ब्रह्म में अत्यन्त निष्ठावान हो, इसलिए मैं तुम्हें बताता हूँ।
English meaning
He said to him: You ask searching questions that go beyond the ordinary. Because you are deeply devoted to Brahman, I shall explain it to you.
व्याख्या
अतिप्रश्न का अर्थ यहाँ निरर्थक या निषिद्ध प्रश्न नहीं है। प्राण की महिमा से उसके कारण तक जाना विचार को अधिक सूक्ष्म स्तर पर ले जाता है; शिक्षक इसी गंभीरता का स्वागत करते हैं।
Explanation
Atiprashna does not mean a pointless or forbidden question here. Moving from prana’s power to its cause requires a subtler inquiry, and the teacher welcomes that seriousness.
