प्रजापतिश्चरसि गर्भे त्वमेव प्रतिजायसे । तुभ्यं प्राण प्रजास्त्विमा बलिं हरन्ति यः प्राणैः प्रतितिष्ठसि ॥ ७ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
प्रजापति के रूप में तुम गर्भ में विचरते हो; तुम ही बार-बार जन्म लेते हो। हे प्राण, ये प्रजाएँ तुम्हें अर्पण लाती हैं, क्योंकि तुम प्राणशक्तियों के साथ उनमें प्रतिष्ठित रहते हो।
English meaning
As Prajapati you move within the womb, and it is you who are born anew. O prana, these living beings bring offerings to you, who are established in them together with the vital faculties.
व्याख्या
एक प्राण अनेक जन्मों में व्यक्त होता है: यह स्तुति प्रजापति की सृजनशीलता को प्रत्येक जीव में देखती है। बलि केवल अलग अनुष्ठान की भेंट नहीं; भाष्य इन्द्रियों के माध्यम से आने वाले अनुभव और उपभोग को भी प्राण के लिए अर्पण मानता है। इस प्रकार दैनिक अनुभव को यज्ञ की छवि मिलती है।
Explanation
One prana appears through many births: the hymn sees Prajapati’s generative power in each living being. Bali need not mean only a separate ritual offering; the commentary also treats what arrives through the senses as an offering for prana’s consumption. Ordinary experience thereby receives a sacrificial image.
