English meaning
This prana burns as fire; it is the sun, rain-bearing Parjanya, Maghavan or Indra, and the wind. It is earth, rayi, and the divine power; it is what is manifest and unmanifest, and whatever is deathless.
Explanation
The hymn ranges from the heat of fire to rain, earth, and deathlessness. Even rayi, distinguished from prana in the first question, is now included in its greatness. This asserts an encompassing unity for contemplation, not a modern physical theory reducing every natural event to a single force.
Context
The faculties’ hymn begins to recognize prana throughout the world beyond the individual body.
