प्राणस्येदं वशे सर्वं त्रिदिवे यत् प्रतिष्ठितम् । मातेव पुत्रान् रक्षस्व श्रीश्च प्रज्ञां च विधेहि न इति ॥ १३ ॥

English meaning
All this is under the sway of prana, as is whatever rests in the heavenly realm. Protect us as a mother protects her children. Grant us forms of flourishing and discernment.
व्याख्या
प्राण का स्वामित्व केवल देह तक सीमित नहीं रहा; अब पृथ्वी और स्वर्ग दोनों उसके अधीन कहे जाते हैं। मातृ-उपमा अधिकार को करुणामय संरक्षण का रूप देती है। समृद्धि के साथ प्रज्ञा माँगना बताता है कि अपेक्षित कल्याण केवल वस्तुओं का संचय नहीं, समझ की वृद्धि भी है।
Explanation
Prana’s scope is no longer confined to the body: earthly and heavenly existence are placed under its sway. The maternal image turns sovereignty into caring protection. Asking for discernment alongside flourishing makes the desired good more than an accumulation of possessions.
