अन्यदेवाहुर्विद्ययाऽन्यदाहुरविद्यया । इति शुश्रुम धीराणां ये नस्तद्विचचक्षिरे ॥ १० ॥

विद्यया अन्यत् एव [फलम्] आहुः; अविद्यया अन्यत् [फलम्] आहुः । ये नः तत् विचचक्षिरे, [तेषाम्] धीराणाम् इति शुश्रुम ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
विद्या से एक फल और अविद्या से दूसरा फल प्राप्त होता है, ऐसा कहा गया है। जिन धीर पुरुषों ने हमें समझाया, उनसे हमने यही सुना है।
English meaning
They say that vidya brings one result and avidya another. This is what we have heard from the discerning teachers who explained it to us.
व्याख्या
विद्या और अविद्या के भिन्न फलों की बात पिछले मन्त्र की समस्या को स्पष्ट करती है। पाठ स्वयं इस शिक्षा को पूर्ववर्ती धीर शिक्षकों से सुना हुआ बताता है।
Explanation
The different fruits of vidya and avidya clarify the preceding contrast. The text itself presents this as a teaching heard from earlier discerning teachers.
