एतेषु यश्चरते भ्राजमानेषु यथाकालं चाहुतयो ह्याददायन् । तं नयन्त्येताः सूर्यस्य रश्मयो यत्र देवानां पतिरेकोऽधिवासः ॥ १.२.५ ॥

जो इन दीप्त ज्वालाओं में यथासमय कर्म करता है, उसकी आहुतियाँ उसे अपने साथ लेती हैं। वे सूर्य की किरणों के द्वारा उसे वहाँ पहुँचाती हैं जहाँ देवताओं का अधिपति अकेला निवास करता है।
English meaning
For the one who performs the rite in these radiant flames at the proper times, the offerings take up the performer. Through the sun’s rays they lead that person to the dwelling of the sole lord of the gods.
व्याख्या
आहुति से सूर्य-किरण और वहाँ से दिव्य लोक तक का सम्बन्ध वैदिक यज्ञ-दृष्टि का हिस्सा है। यह अभी कर्मफल की यात्रा है, न कि अगले खण्डों में बताई जाने वाली बन्धन से अंतिम मुक्ति का समानार्थक।
Explanation
The connection between oblation, solar ray and divine destination belongs to the text’s sacrificial cosmology. This remains a journey to the fruit of action, not an equivalent of the final release developed in later sections.
