Passage 6.11
तदेतत् सत्यमृषिरङ्गिराः पुरोवाच नैतदचीर्णव्रतोऽधीते । नमः परमऋषिभ्यो नमः परमऋषिभ्यः ॥ ३.२.११ ॥

तत् एतत् सत्यम् [अस्ति] । ऋषिः अङ्गिराः पुरा उवाच । अचीर्णव्रतः एतत् न अधीते । परमऋषिभ्यः नमः; परमऋषिभ्यः नमः ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
यही वह सत्य है जिसे ऋषि अङ्गिरा ने पहले कहा था। जिसने व्रत का पालन नहीं किया है, वह इसका अध्ययन नहीं करता। परम ऋषियों को नमस्कार; परम ऋषियों को नमस्कार।
English meaning
This is the truth that the seer Angiras declared of old. One who has not observed the vow does not undertake its study. Homage to the supreme seers; homage to the supreme seers.
व्याख्या
अचीर्णव्रत का उल्लेख पिछले मन्त्र की औपचारिक अध्ययन-दीक्षा को जारी रखता है; इसे पाठ की ऐतिहासिक शिक्षण-व्यवस्था के भीतर समझना चाहिए। दोहरा नमस्कार आरम्भ में वर्णित गुरु-परम्परा को सम्मान देकर उपनिषद् को बन्द करता है, इसलिए दूसरी आवृत्ति को अनावश्यक पुनरुक्ति मानकर हटाना अर्थ का नुकसान होगा।
Explanation
The reference to an unobserved vow continues the preceding conditions of formal study and belongs within that historical teaching arrangement. The repeated homage closes the Upanishad by honouring the transmission introduced at its beginning, so removing the second salutation as redundant would lose part of the ending’s force.
