Passage 4.9
English meaning
In the supreme golden enclosure is Brahman, unstained and without parts. It is pure, the light of lights: that is what knowers of the Self know.
Explanation
Describing partless Brahman as within an enclosure requires distinguishing the image of the covering from the reality recognized there. Calling it the light of lights does not merely add another shining object to the world but points toward that on which other forms of illumination depend.
Context
After describing the effects of knowledge, the text returns to Brahman as its object, using a golden enclosure and the light of all lights.
