English meaning
Where the channels meet like spokes at a chariot wheel’s hub, this Self moves within, appearing in many forms. Contemplate the Self through Om; may you fare well in crossing to the far side of darkness.
Explanation
The hub-and-spokes image directs attention toward a center amid the multiplicity of experience. The language of appearing in many births must be read alongside the earlier description of the unborn Self, so appearance here need not assert that the Self literally undergoes birth and death.
Context
After the image of a bridge, the teaching places contemplation at the inward meeting of the channels and offers a blessing for passage beyond darkness.
