अथेन्द्रमब्रुवन्मघवन्नेतद्विजानीहि किमेतद्यक्षमिति तथेति तदभ्यद्रवत्तस्मात्तिरोदधे ॥ ११ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
फिर देवताओं ने इन्द्र से कहा, हे मघवन्, पता लगाओ कि यह यक्ष क्या है। इन्द्र ने कहा, ऐसा ही करूँगा, और उसके पास दौड़े। किन्तु वह उनके सामने से अदृश्य हो गया।
English meaning
Then they said to Indra, “Maghavan, find out what this mysterious presence is.” He agreed and hurried toward it, but it disappeared from him.
व्याख्या
इन्द्र को तिनका नहीं दिया जाता; यक्ष का अदृश्य हो जाना उन्हें प्रत्यक्ष उपलब्ध वस्तु से वंचित करता है। कथा अभी इन्द्र के जान लेने की घोषणा नहीं करती। अगला कदम अपनी शक्ति का प्रदर्शन नहीं, ज्ञान पाने के लिए प्रश्न करना होगा।
Explanation
Indra is not given a blade of grass. The disappearance removes the object he hoped to investigate directly. The story does not yet announce that he knows; his next step will be an inquiry directed to a teacher rather than a display of power.
