तस्मै स होवाच । इहैवान्तःशरीरे सोम्य स पुरुषो यस्मिन्नेताः षोडशकलाः प्रभवन्तीति ॥ २ ॥

सः तस्मै ह उवाच-सोम्य, यस्मिन् एताः षोडश कलाः प्रभवन्ति, सः पुरुषः इह एव अन्तःशरीरे [अस्ति] इति ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
उन्होंने उससे कहा: प्रिय, इसी शरीर के भीतर वह पुरुष है, जिसमें ये सोलह कलाएँ प्रकट होती हैं।
English meaning
He said to him: Dear one, here within this very body is that Person in whom these sixteen parts arise.
व्याख्या
भीतर का कथन पुरुष को मांस के भीतर बंद कोई छोटा पदार्थ नहीं बनाता। आगे उसकी कलाओं का विश्व और अनुभव तक विस्तार होगा; इसलिए शरीर ज्ञान का प्रवेश-बिंदु है, आत्मा की अंतिम भौगोलिक सीमा नहीं।
Explanation
Within does not make the Person a small object imprisoned in flesh. The parts will extend across world and experience; embodiment is the point of access to knowledge, not the Self’s final geographical boundary.
